Anaho Island

Pyramid Lake is home to one of the largest Pelican Sanctuaries in North American. Arriving each year in the spring, thousands of these large birds nest on the island and feed on the fish in the lake.

The falls below Marble Bluff Dam offer one of their favorite fishing spots.

Basking in the sun ranks up there with fishing and flying.

They are very graceful fliers, long chains of birds can be seen in the skies over Pyramid Lake flowing like long ribbons. They can soar inches above the surface of the lake.
